Kettlebells were developed in Russia in the late 1890s and were first used in the Olympic Games that was held in Russia. Though they are sometimes confused with the Ancient Greek’s wrestling techniques, kettlebell weights were used for many years in different Olympic games including the Olympics and the United States Olympic team.

Kettlebells range in weight from anywhere from four pounds to over one and a half pounds, depending on the kettlebell you get. There is a vast selection of kettlebell weights available online. Make sure the store has a good reputation, is secure, and has the correct kettlebell set for your needs.

Kettlebell sets come in two basic categories: fixed and adjustable. A fixed kettlebell set will not be able to be modified in any way. You get the exact weights, the same handle shape, the same grip, etc. An adjustable kettlebell set might have a rack or a pulley system so you can adjust the weights, but it will not be able to be customized like a fixed set can.
