While not nearly as well known as dumbbells or barbells, kettlebell weights can be one of the best pieces of exercise equipment you will come across. The basic design (it is a sphere of metal with a handle) lies behind the incredible variety of uses in the workout world. Kettlebell weights can be used for strength training, cardiovascular workouts, or for functional training – which is just what it says, its purpose is to work out your body in all the right ways! Its no wonder that there are so many different Kettlebell set on the market!

When it comes to working out Kettlebell Weights are very unique because they help to strengthen the body through the use of resistance. This is one of the best things about using kettlebells for fitness – not only do they allow you to perform many different kinds of workouts, but they also help you to target specific muscle groups. Unlike dumbbells or barbells, kettlebell weights can be used for the ultimate in home workout options. I first got involved with kettlebell weights about a year ago when I bought a pair of Rogue Fitness Kettlebells for a very cheap price. From that point on, I have always been drawn to the wonders of this ancient device. Now, I am not the kind of guy who wakes up in the morning and decides that I am going to start working out. Most people would make this sort of critical mistakes which would actually prevent them from ever getting any real results from their workouts. The thing is that I needed to start to gain some serious muscle mass so that my body could start looking great.

I knew that I had to incorporate some serious lifting into my workouts if I ever wanted to get the results that I was after. I needed to build some lean body mass in order to lose those stubborn bits of fat hanging over my frame. So I did what many guys do in order to achieve this – I tried a bunch of different workout plans. Most of them stressed the importance of a proper diet. They were all pretty good suggestions, but they all came with some sort of catch.

For instance, one of the workout plans said that I should cut out carbs and eat protein instead. I had to eat a bunch of pork chops and eggs every morning in order to support my workouts and lose weight, so why should I cut out carbs? What was the catch?

Well, here’s the catch – I could have had the benefits that are featured in this video taken 6 days ago if I’d simply included some carbs in my diet. Why? Because carbs give you energy. Carbohydrates are the building blocks of everything, so by adding them to your diet, you can dramatically improve your ability to exercise and burn fat, AND you will lose weight.

So, how’d I go about adding some carbs to my diet? I found out that I could easily do so by simply eating apples. Apples are great because they’re super healthy (no fat), extremely low in calories, and they make a fantastic snack. All of these traits make them an ideal addition to any fitness plan, and that’s exactly what I did to put myself on track to having the body of my dreams by following the Kettlebell Weights workout plan.

If you want to reach your fitness goals, it is essential that you find a workout program that includes some sort of kettlebell training (and by “any”, I mean including cast iron kettlebells).
